Resolving the cause of pain and tightness
When a car runs rough, a good mechanic doesn't just quiet the check-engine light — they find the loose connection underneath. Your body sends the same kind of signal. I find where the connection is loose, and get your muscles working again. No surgery. No injections.
Where pain and tightness actually come from
Your muscles connect to your brain through the nervous system, the same way a battery connects to the rest of a car through its cables. That relationship is what makes a muscle fire properly in the first place.
The connection loosens
An accident, a fall, an old sports injury, or simple overuse can loosen the connection between a muscle and the nervous system — like a battery cable working itself loose. The muscle loses "voltage" and stops firing at full strength.
Your body sounds the alarm
A weak, under-firing muscle is an unstable muscle. So your nervous system tightens everything around it for protection — and uses pain and tightness as a check-engine light to get your attention.
Function gets restored
I test which muscles have lost their connection, then treat the specific attachment points to re-establish it. Tighten the cable, and the "check-engine light" has no reason to stay on.
Pain and tightness aren't the root problem — they're a symptom of neuromuscular weakness. Treat the weakness, and the pain and tightness resolve on their own.
— THE APPROACHWhat a treatment looks like
Every session follows the same diagnostic logic a mechanic uses on a car: test, treat, retest.
Test
A neuromuscular test checks whether a muscle's connection to the nervous system is firing at full strength or has gone "loose."
Treat
If a muscle tests weak, its attachment points are palpated to re-establish the connection — tightening the "cable" back up.
Retest
We test the muscle again immediately, so you can feel the improved strength, range of motion, and reduced pain in real time.
What this treatment is effective on
This is a general tool for restoring muscle function, so it applies to a wide range of pain and mobility issues — including:
Meet Josh
Josh became a practitioner of this technique after it resolved a painful, puzzling issue of his own — one that surgery wasn't going to fix. One session with a practitioner turned his muscles back on, and his symptoms disappeared. He hasn't had that issue since, and he's been paying it forward ever since.
In August 2024, Josh was in a serious highway collision that left him in a neck brace, unable to lift his head or swallow food without help. This technique played a central role in his recovery, and he's grateful to now share that same tool with his clients — from small, everyday aches to the kind of "mini miracles" that got him started in the first place.

What clients notice first
"Josh is very smart and has incredible knowledge of anatomy and body mechanics. He knows how to feel around and treat any affected areas. He will free up range of motion and turn off pain signals to the muscles."
"I noticed immediate improvement with my rib pain after my first session. Josh seriously knows what he is doing!"
"I suffered for years with a constant headache from a car accident, every single day. After just one treatment with Josh, my headache was gone."
